Absence Cover Teaching Assistant
Full time

Grade: G3, 6 –9
Required Start Date: 02.11.2026
Hours: 31.67hrs/week
Temporary until 31.03.2027 (depending on needs of school). This date may change, depending on when post holder returns.

There is the possibility of having a Relief TA contract when the post holder returns

We are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join our happy, friendly and dedicated team. Through our Christian Values of Truthfulness, Compassion, Respect and Forgiveness we aim to be a school where every child is nurtured and are made to feel safe, secure and valued. We respect and welcome all the members of our community. The post holder will support the learning for a child in Y3. Experience of emotional needs would be an advantage.

Candidates will need to be able to use their initiative, work as part of a team and have an excellent sense of humour. They should have an NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent and have experience of working with children.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
