Catering Assistant

Job Introduction

Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School is seeking a Catering Assistant.

If you have experience of working in a fast-paced catering environment this could be the job for you!

Key Responsibilities:
• To assist with deliveries, food preparation and general cooking tasks.
• To prepare the dining area, serving food at break, lunch and at other times as required.
• To complete washing up, both manual and using the plate wash and general cleaning ensure that cleaning materials and equipment are stored carefully when not in use.
• To operate tills as required, stock vending machines and assist with related services.
• To report to the Deputy Catering Manager/ Catering Manager any problems relating to stock, cleaning materials and equipment.
• Assisting with deep cleaning as directed.

• Salary upon appointment Grade 2 Scale Point 3 £24,413 (actual £15,538) with potential to rise to Point 6 £24,796 (actual £15,781).
