We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and proactive Child and Family Adviser to join our committed team. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about improving children's life chances by working closely with families, school staff and external agencies to overcome barriers to learning, wellbeing and attendance.

The Role
You will play a key role in supporting pupils and families by:
• Leading and supporting attendance improvement initiatives.
• Working directly with families to remove barriers to school attendance and engagement.
• Coordinating and contributing to Early Help and multi-agency support.
• Supporting safeguarding processes and attending professional meetings.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
• Working alongside school leaders to ensure vulnerable pupils receive the support they need to succeed.
• Conducting home visits and family support work where appropriate.
• Promoting a culture where every child feels safe, valued and ready to learn.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
• Has experience working with children, families or vulnerable groups.
• Understands safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• Can build positive, trusting relationships with parents and carers.
• Is resilient, organised and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Has excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
• Can work effectively with a range of professionals and agencies.
• Is committed to improving attendance, wellbeing and outcomes for children.
• Shares our belief that Everyone is Welcome.
Experience of school attendance systems, Early Help, safeguarding, family support or multi-agency working would be advantageous.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
