Salary: Teacher pay scale M1 – M6 depending on experience

Contract: Maternity Cover

Hours: Monday – Friday, 32.5 hours per week

Start Date: 22nd February 2027 until return of post holder (expected contract length 9 months)

Closing date: 20th October 2026 at 11am

St Botolph’s Church of England Primary school is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 4 Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive school community on a maternity cover basis.

We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner who is committed to providing an engaging, inclusive and high-quality learning experience for every child. The successful candidate will have high expectations of pupils, a positive approach to behaviour and a genuine passion for helping children to achieve their full potential.

• Have a good understanding of the Year 4 curriculum and assessment requirements.

• Work collaboratively as part of a supportive year group and wider school team.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
