Cover Supervisor (Permanent)

Contract: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 training days)
Salary: NJC4 £25,185 Pro Rata

This large secondary Academy is seeking to appoint a committed and self-motivated professional to supervise whole classes during the short term absence of teachers, and to provide general support to teaching staff and students. There will also be a requirement to invigilate public and internal examinations when required, for which full training will be given.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate calmness under pressure, resilience, and be an excellent team player. Experience of working with teenagers, either in a paid or voluntary capacity is essential. Above all you must be enthusiastic about enabling all learners to succeed and be able to demonstrate a strong presence and credibility with secondary age young people. You must have achieved 5 GCSE passes at grades 4-9 including English and Maths, or equivalent.
This post would be ideal for someone wanting to gain classroom experience with a view to teaching, or for someone bringing transferable skills from another profession.
