Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity to work within a small single age group, EYFS class has arisen due to the retirement and promotion of existing staff.
The Governors of the Carrdyke Federation (Walcott School and Mrs Mary King’s Church of England School in the village of Martin) wish to appoint two EYFS specialist teachers for a September 2026 start. These positions are initially a one-year temporary contract, but pending future budgets may be extended.
Walcott School and Mrs Mary King’s Church of England Primary school are two rural ‘maintained’ primary schools close to Lincoln that have been part of one of the longest established formal partnerships in Lincolnshire.
We take pride in the fact that our schools retain their individual character and independence but benefit from working collaboratively to serve their local community. Whilst our schools are small, they have well-resourced EYFS provision and attractive grounds and a focus on promoting outdoor learning including Forest School. Our staff work hard to live up to our mission statement of ‘Working together with God’s help we can all achieve great things’..
We are looking for EYFS Teachers who are passionate about providing children with the best start in school life and will relish the chance to help shape provision in our schools. The positions are at the separate school sites; the successful candidate for the part time post will share the class with an existing member of staff.
You will have an excellent understanding of foundational knowledge and how to ensure it is embedded in Early Years. You will create a high quality, stimulating learning environment that ensures there is a wide range of EYFS provision. Outdoor learning will be something you are passionate about and keen to promote; a rainy day will be an opportunity not a barrier! You will have the opportunity to think creatively to tailor learning to meet the specific needs of children in our community. High quality communication and an ability to foster oracy skills in all children through classroom talk will be key to your success. You will be supported by an experienced leadership team keen to help you achieve outstanding outcomes.
