Job Introduction
The Headteacher and Governing Body of Manor Leas Infant School are seeking to appoint a motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Assistant to become part of the school team. The role will involve, but is not inclusive to:
• Organising the day to day running of the wraparound care sessions, including planning daily activities
• Supervising and working with children during wraparound care sessions
• Planning, preparing, setting up and clearing away the daily resources
• Serving healthy food, in line with food hygiene regulations
• Maintaining attendance registers/accidents records/safeguarding concerns in line with policy
• Maintaining a safe environment
• Carrying out light domestic duties e.g. wiping down tables, hoovering etc
• Communicating with parents/carers in a professional manner, including sharing any daily concerns
• Being a key holder for the school
The post is temporary, dependent upon the needs of the school, but may become permanent.
We will also consider a discount towards wraparound care sessions for staff members working in wraparound care.
Candidates will need to be able to use their initiative and have good communication and organisational skills. They will be need to be able to work with children across EYFS and Key Stage One, and work as a team with other adults. It is desirable for candidates to have an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent and have experience of working with children.
