Job Introduction

Hope House School is a well-established independent special school set in the open countryside, just outside Newark. Our students range from 5–19 with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and associated conditions.

The Role


We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an SEN Classroom Teacher. 

In this role, you will:


• Deliver an individualised curriculum designed around the unique sensory, academic, and social needs of our students.
• Build positive relationships that support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Foster a safe and happy atmosphere where pupils feel valued and secure.
• Celebrate progress, supporting students as they overcome barriers to learning and reach their personal potential.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team of professionals and families.
• Contribute to safeguarding practices and the wider school community.


What We Are Looking For


• Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN or ASD is preferred.
• Qualifications: QTS (qualified teacher status) or a relevant education degree and willingness to complete teacher training.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
