Osgodby Primary School is looking to appoint an experienced teacher to join this friendly school as SENDCO. You will be an inspirational practitioner with a passion for supporting children with additional needs, and will promote and develop the SEN Policy in school ensuring that all staff are aware of and fulfil their statutory responsibilities to pupils with special educational needs.

About us
Osgodby Primary School is a small rural school and is located 5 minutes from Market Rasen and 30 minutes from Lincoln. We put the interests and needs of all our children first and we strive to do all we possibly can to encourage them to fulfil their full potential and develop a lifelong love of learning.

You will:
• Hold or be working towards/willing to undertake the National Award for SENCO Qualification
• Be committed to providing the highest standards of provision for SEND pupils.
• Be an excellent practitioner with high expectations and a commitment to raising standards.
• Have good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
• Be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, with all members of the school community.
• Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills status (QTLS).
• Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
• Provide a safe and healthy environment following safeguarding procedures.
• Use and develop innovative and resourceful teaching methods.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
