Hemswell Cliff Primary School is seeking a School Business Manager (Maternity Cover).
Hemswell Cliff Primary School is a friendly, welcoming school with a small family feel. The Governing Body is seeking to recruit a conscientious, enthusiastic and motivated School Business Manager to join our team on a maternity cover basis.
Salary: G8 (Points 21–24) £15,109.12 - £16,704.85 (actual part time salary, equated pay)
Hours: 16 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks), Mondays & Tuesdays, 8.30am–4.30pm
Contract: Fixed Term – Maternity Cover
Start Date: TBC (likely to be March 2026)

The successful candidate will:
• Have a cheerful, warm and welcoming personality with the ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
• Be reliable, efficient, organised and able to manage changing priorities while meeting deadlines
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and take pride in their work
• Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Have knowledge of financial systems, accountancy experience, and strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Hold or be working towards an SBM qualification or an AAT Level 3 qualification
• Have essential experience in financial administration
• Possess strong communication, interpersonal and ICT skills
• Have experience with Health & Safety regulations
• Maintain a positive attitude, including when working under pressure
• Be conscientious, professional and able to offer a confidential and efficient service
• Have safeguarding training or experience as a DSL/DDSL (desirable)
