This role offers the perfect launchpad for a rewarding career in education. You will gain hands-on classroom experience while earning a formal, fully-funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification through our partner training provider.
Key Responsibilities
Working under the guidance of our class teachers, you will:
• Support pupils individually or in small groups to help them access learning activities.
• Assist the teacher in preparing the classroom learning environment and monitoring pupil progress.
• Provide tailored support to pupils identified as having additional educational or physical needs (SEN).
• Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and a safe learning environment across the school.
What We Are Looking For
• Qualifications: Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, or equivalent, including English and Maths.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, a patient and supportive nature, and a strong willingness to learn.
• Values: A reliable team player who shares our council-wide commitments to being collaborative, adaptable, and responsible.
