Job Introduction

Lincoln Christ's Hospital School, located near Lincoln's beautiful cathedral, is truly comprehensive, with over 1,250 students on roll, including over 200 in the Sixth Form. In our latest OFSTED visit in November 2024, we have been graded ‘Good’ in all areas.  

We wish to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science. The start date is ideally September 2025 but is negotiable, and is a full-time position. The candidate will teach across the Key Stages. The ability to teach Chemistry or Physics up to A-Level would be an advantage. The school reserves the right to interview early.

We warmly welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about their subject, have high expectations of students and of themselves, and be eager to motivate students of all abilities.

As a school, we are committed to inspiring students and fostering a love of learning through engaging and high-quality teaching. We have large numbers of students who take Science A-Levels and vocational courses in the Sixth Form. The Science department is a thriving, enthusiastic, and collaborative team that supports one another. We set ourselves high standards in teaching and learning, and we believe that providing students with meaningful feedback on their progress is vital. All members of the teaching team also take on the additional role of form tutor.
