Teaching Assistant Level 1

Job Introduction

Alford Primary School are currently recruiting a teaching assistant to assist the class teacher in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil to whom you are assigned, enabling them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them. 

This role will include the need for social, emotional and behavioural support.


We are a very caring and family orientated school and it would be expected that the successful candidate would share this ethos.


  • Grade: G3
  • Salary: £21,267 - £22,725 depending on experience, paid Pro Rata
  • Type of contract: Temporary
  • Contract length or end date: 31st August 2026 with a possibility to extend to a permanent post
  • Appointment: Part time
  • Hours per week: 32.5

Fluency Duty
