Morton Trentside Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2
Temporary Maternity Cover from February 2026 for up to 1 year (pending the return of the post- holder)
28.75 hours per week Scale: G5 - 12 £27,254 (pro rata)

Morton Trentside Primary School is looking for a caring and creative Teaching Assistant, who is passionate about preparing children well for the next stage in their educational journey. Our ideal candidate will be able to use their initiative to challenge our children in KS2; they will be a real team player, be flexible to respond to changing needs and be committed to providing a positive, nurturing environment for our children to thrive.
Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum along with experience of how to prepare children for SATs and transition to secondary school is desirable. The ability to remain calm and promote a positive approach to behaviour management is essential, as is an excellent standard of English and Maths.
We would love to receive applications from individuals with excellent communication skills, a friendly, approachable manner and the ability to empathise when working with our oldest children. The desire to build excellent relationships with children, parents and colleagues is essential to this role.
