Job Introduction
Mareham Le Fen Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team. Required to start on Monday 2nd November. However, we would consider a later start date for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who is nurturing, patient and enthusiastic and who genuinely enjoys working with children. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other members of our team to support learning, promote independence and ensure that all children are able to participate fully in school life.
The role will involve supporting children within the classroom, working with individuals and small groups, and delivering targeted interventions where appropriate. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and school.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent;
• Is caring, nurturing and able to build warm, positive relationships with children;
• Has high expectations for all pupils and believes that every child can succeed;
• Can support children with a range of needs, including pupils with SEND;
• Understands the importance of inclusion and can adapt their support to help all children access learning;
• Can support learning effectively with individuals, small groups and within the whole-class environment;
• Encourages children to develop confidence, resilience and independence rather than becoming reliant on adult support;
• Can deliver interventions and activities as directed by the class teacher;
• Is able to communicate effectively with teachers and other members of staff about children's learning, progress and wellbeing;
• Is organised, reliable, flexible and able to use their initiative;
• Works well as part of a team and is willing to contribute to the wider life of our small school;
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children;
• Will support and uphold the Christian vision and values of our school.

Fluency Duty
