Job Introduction
At Quadring Cowley and Brown's Primary School, we strive to nurture and inspire all children to be well-rounded, confident and resilient individuals, who love learning and are ready for life beyond school. We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who will be able to offer an exceptional level of support for a child with additional educational needs.
1-1 contract to support a child with an EHCP within the classroom and at lunchtime. 30 hours per week 8.45am - 3.15 pm
The role of the assistant is crucial to enable the child to have a supported learning environment to allow the child to access the learning provided by the class teacher.
We are looking for someone who is:
- able to support children using positive behaviour strategies
- proactive and caring approach to develop the child's learning
- patient, caring supportive and flexible and has a good sense of humour
- who can make learning fun and engaging,
- can support small group interventions
- excellent communication skills and able to be adaptive and flexible in their approach
- able to promote social and emotional support, development and learning
