Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Trust for a Teaching Assistant to be based at Gedney Church End Primary Academy. This role requires the successful candidate to work with individual children having special or particular needs, in accordance with the child’s Education Health and Care Plan where appropriate and\or groups of children as directed by the teacher.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide support for pupils with, and without, EHCPs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop independence, and thrive socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Assist students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
Prepare and organise classroom materials and resources
Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents when required.
This position is 32.5 hours per week, term time, temporary to August 31st 2027
Essential Criteria:
English and Maths GCSE, Grade C/4 or equivalent
Desired Criteria:
Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with EHCPs

Fluency Duty
