Scotter Primary School is seeking a 1-1 Teaching Assistant with Midday Supervisory Assistant Duties.
22.50 hours a week (split 20.0 hrs 1-1 TA and 2hrs 30 mins MSA)
TA - Monday – Friday – 8.45 am – 12.00 3 hrs 15 mins x 5 days – Term time only
1.00 pm – 1.45 pm 45 mins x 5 days – Term time only
Salary Scale G3 06 – 09 (£24,027 - £25,183 pro rata) Starting salary £12,682
MSA - Monday – Friday –12.00 noon – 12.30 pm 30 mins x 5 days – Term time only
Salary Scale G2 03 - 06 (£23,656 - £24,027 pro rata) Starting salary £1,340
Required to start – 2nd September 2025.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our school team providing 1-1 support to a child with their learning. The person will be confident in adapting activities to allow the child in their care to make good or better progress.
We are looking for someone with:

• A willingness to encourage a child with specific needs to reach their potential.

Midday duties will include:
• Supervising children during the lunchtime period, in the playground, classrooms, cloakrooms,
toilets etc and escorting children between areas where necessary
• Preparing rooms for dining, including setting out tables as appropriate, distributing meals and serving water where required
• Clearing tables, collecting rubbish, washing and stacking tables, chairs, water jugs and cleaning the dining area as required
A First Aid, Team Teach, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding Certificates will be required, training will be provided.
The 1-1 Teaching Assistant is a temporary contract, until the end of August 2029. The contract may end sooner should there be any changes regarding the Education Health Care Plan or the child leaves the school before this date.
