Behaviour Mentor

Job Introduction

Our Federation wish to appoint an enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join our friendly and dedicated team. This post will be based at Westmere Primary School but the applicant may be required to work with children at other schools in the federation.

Starting January 2026
(Initially a one year contract)
G5 12-15


The ideal candidate would:
• Build strong relationships with students to encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and the SEN team to create tailored support plans.
• Help promote a calm, safe, and inclusive school environment where every student feels valued and understood.

About You:
• Previous experience supporting young people in an educational or youth work setting is desirable.
• A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• A genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential.

This position is initially a one year contract.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
