Job Introduction
Corby Glen Primary School, Station Road, Corby Glen, NG33 4NW are seeking to appoint an experienced class teacher to a 3-day per week maternity cover role. Start date to be agreed at interview, but as soon after November 2nd 2026 as possible. In this role, you will contribute to the excellent work carried out by the teaching team and proactively support the continued success of the school. You will be responsible for teaching a wonderful Year 1/2 class on Thursday and Friday, with the third day (primarily Wednesday, although there is some flexibility around this) providing an opportunity for flexible teaching and additional support across the school, including PPA cover, teaching groups or interventions according to the needs of the school.
This role will bring variety and provide an excellent opportunity to get to know children across our school well, while also taking responsibility for a class and contributing fully to the wider life of the school.
PPA will, of course, be prioritised in accordance with the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document, so that you have appropriate time to plan, prepare and assess and feel well prepared to deliver a high standard of education.
