Job Introduction

About the Role:
Leasingham St Andrew’s Church of England Primary School is seeking a dedicated and preferably experienced Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will provide an on-site cleaning service, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout specified areas of the school.

Grade: 1 £ 5,670 (FTE £25,023) actual hours: 10 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4pm – 6pm (Term time only)

Closing Date for Applications: Noon, Monday 21st September 2026
Interviews: Week commencing 21st September 2026

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with County Council specifications.
• Safely store cleaning materials and equipment.
• Execute general cleaning tasks (dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming).
• Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Follow health and safety guidelines during cleaning duties.

Skills Required:
• Attention to detail for thorough cleaning and organisation.
• Time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.

Other Information: Duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive and may be subject to change. The postholder may be asked to undertake additional duties within the general scope of the role.
