Cleaner

Job Introduction

Belmont Community Primary School is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and friendly School Cleaner to help keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate must be able to work within a small team, show initiative and have a strong work ethic. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. The hours of work are from 3:30pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Main duties and responsibilities
• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Emptying bins and replenishing supplies
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Annual deep clean of all areas

Belmont is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to safer recruitment procedures and pre-employment background checks, including satisfactory references, medical, Enhanced DBS with children’s barred list clearance, online and social media checks and completion of relevant safeguarding training including Safeguarding Children in Education. All school roles are classed as regulated activity and as such, it is an offence to apply to for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
