CLERK TO THE GOVERNING BODY
Grade: G4 (point 9-12) £2106-2211 pro-rata based on an average of 3.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
Part- time permanent post
Required for September 2026
We are looking to recruit a well-motivated, reliable and competent person to join our staff team as Clerk to the Governing Body.
Duties include attendance at all statutory meetings of the Governing Body and any additional meetings as required (usually 6 Full Governors Meetings per year). Flexibility will be required in terms of working hours as meetings are usually held in the evenings but may take place at other times.
Duties of the clerk include preparing and distributing agendas and minutes, corresponding on behalf of the Governing Body and maintaining records. You will also be expected to have knowledge of School Government Regulations and advice the Governing Body accordingly.
Applicants must:
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Be computer literate and have the ability to transcribe minutes,
• Be able to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality,
• Have knowledge of School Government Regulations.
Training can be provided if required.
