Work Commitment: 1 day Co-Headteacher
Duration: Fixed Term until 31.08.2027 (Secondments considered)

Salary: L10– L16

The governing body seeks to recruit a Co-Headteacher to work closely with the current head teacher and lead the school one day a week. The Co-headteacher will need to work closely with the current headteacher to build on the existing strengths and success of the school. A creative and collaborative working approach is going to be key in being successful in this role in The Lancaster Infant school within the Forest Skies Federation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Educational Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the school, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education to children aged 3 to 7 years.
• Curriculum Development: Oversee the development and implementation of a progressive and engaging curriculum that aligns with best practices in early childhood education.
• Staff Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and evaluate teaching and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Student Wellbeing: Prioritise the safety, well-being, and holistic development of students, creating a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where each child can thrive.
• Parent and Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with parents, guardians, and the local community, promoting open communication and involvement in school activities.
• Budget and Resource Management: Manage school finances effectively, allocating resources to support educational goals and maintain a safe and conducive learning environment.
• Professional Development: Encourage and support ongoing professional development for staff to ensure they are equipped with the latest pedagogical knowledge and teaching strategies.
Fluency Duty
In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
