Job Introduction

Scawby Academy are seeking to appoint a permanent EYFS Practitioner for the new academic year starting in September 2025. We welcome applications from caring and enthusiastic candidates who are passionate and experienced Early Years specialists with a comprehensive understanding of how young children learn and develop. This post has arisen as our highly respected and talented post holder is moving on to pursue new adventures.

We are looking for someone who:
Will be committed to safeguarding pupils making them feel safe and cared for;
Is passionate about ensuring that every child can thrive and achieves well, enabling them to develop a ‘lifelong love of learning';
Is caring and compassionate about giving each child the best opportunities;
Has a clear knowledge of the EYFS Framework and curriculum;
Has enthusiasm and drive in developing high quality learning environments both indoor and outdoor;
NNEB, NVQ or appropriate Qualification.
In your role at our Academy, you will:
Support children's development in all aspects of the EYFS curriculum;
Record children's progress and use this as a basis for planning and improving practice and provision;
Work in partnership with parents and to value and utilise their contribution to support children's well-being, learning and development;
Develop and improve the quality and effectiveness of the EYFS by working collaboratively with the EYFS Teacher.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
