Early Years Teaching Assistant Level 1

Job Introduction

Toynton All Saints Primary School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Early Years team. This role will predominantly involve supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to flourish both academically and personally in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider staff team to:
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND
• Assist with delivering tailored learning activities and interventions
• Support children’s personal, social and emotional development
• Contribute to creating an engaging, play-based Early Years environment
• Assist with observations and assessments
• Help implement individual support plans and EHCP targets

We are a friendly, welcoming village school with high expectations for all of our learners. This post is on a one-year fixed-term basis in the first instance.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
