An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Trust for a Family Support Worker, based at Boston Pioneers Academy. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils and their families, helping to remove barriers to learning, improve attendance, and promote positive outcomes for our children.
Job Description:
Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils and their families.
Work with families to identify needs and provide appropriate advice, guidance and support.
Support initiatives to improve pupil attendance, punctuality and engagement.
Undertake home visits where appropriate and in line with school procedures.
Act as a key point of contact between home and school.
Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to coordinate support for children and families.
Provide early help and signposting to relevant services.
Maintain accurate records and case notes, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR requirements.
Support safeguarding processes and contribute to the wellbeing and protection of pupils.
Assist the school in promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing and inclusion
Essential:
- Minimum Grade 4 GCSE [or equivalent] in Maths and English
Desired:
- Previous experience in a Family Support Worker role within an educational environment
This role is permanent, 37 hours per week on a term time only basis.
