Job Introduction
St Peter and St Paul's C of E Primary School is seeking a General Teaching Assistant. The start date is Tuesday 2nd September 2025.
Job Location: Burgh-le-Marsh (near Skegness)
Term: Permanent Term-time only + 1 week (39 weeks)

We are looking to appoint a skilled, flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our children in their journey. The position may involve working across both Key Stages.
The role will involve, but is not limited to:
• Working with individuals or small groups of children, under the direction of the teacher to develop their physical, social and intellectual skills.
• Supporting and encouraging children’s learning.
• Assisting with the planning and preparation of activities and to help maintain a tidy and engaging classroom environment.
• Supporting teachers with behaviour management and keeping children focused on their work to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting children with life skills and personal care as required.
• Assisting teachers with administrative jobs such as photocopying and filing.
• Helping with break and lunchtime supervision as required.
• Participating in educational visits.
• Supporting children with first aid and medical care.
• Liaising with parents and various educational agencies as required.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Has excellent interpersonal skills
• Is resilient and able to cope with the demands of the post.
• Works in a calm, caring but firm and supportive manner.
• Works well within a team but can use their own initiative to help children develop.
• Personifies our school’s core values.

Fluency Duty
