Join Our Governing Body – Make a Difference in our Children’s Lives.

Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people?


Our federation of schools, which supports pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs through a nurture-based approach, is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Governing Body.


Please note that this is a voluntary position. The full governing body meet 6 times per year with committees meeting 6 times a year.

What Does a Governor Do?
As a school governor, you will:
• Contribute to strategic decision-making and school improvement.
• Provide support and challenge to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.
• Champion our nurture principles and commitment to mental health and well-being.
• Ensure resources are used effectively to meet the needs of every child.

Who We’re Looking For:
Current vacancies:
• Finance governor
• Co-opted governor


We welcome applications from people with a variety of skills and backgrounds, including:
• Education, social care, health, or mental health services.
• Experience in finance, HR, or business leadership.
• Community-minded individuals passionate about inclusive education.


No previous experience as a governor is required – full training and support will be provided.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.


The school advertising the vacancy will contact you directly regarding the outcome of your application and any interviews. When interviews are taking place schools will follow all Government and Public Health England Guidelines.

All shortlisted candidates will need to verify their eligibility to work in the UK at interview.
