Head Teacher

Job Introduction

Due to the retirement of our current headteacher, the governing body seeks to recruit
an inspirational leader who will build on the existing strengths and success of the
school. The post is available from the beginning of the summer term 2026.

The governing body will appoint a headteacher who:


● Is an excellent leader with high expectations of achievement and behaviour and
will seek to create an environment in which children flourish emotionally, socially
and academically.
● Has vision, energy, honesty and loyalty and can inspire and motivate staff and
children.
● Will use their enthusiastic leadership qualities to ensure our committed staff
continue to grow and develop.
● Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to build
strong working relationships.
● Will enhance and develop collaboration between staff, parents, governors and
the community.
● Is excited by the opportunities that The Meadows Primary School and Preschool
offers.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
