Job Introduction
Due to the retirement of our two current co- Headteachers, the governing body of Great Steeping Primary School seeks to recruit an exceptional leader who will build on the existing strengths and successes of the school. The post is to start on the 1st September 2025.
The governing body is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Headteacher who will:
• Embrace the challenges of working in a small rural school.
• Build on the improvements made following the last Ofsted inspection.
• Commit to the ethos and values which create an environment that nurtures and develops the potential of every child academically and socially.
The governing body will appoint a head who:
• Is an excellent leader with high expectations of achievement and behaviour and will seek to create an environment in which children flourish emotionally, socially and academically.
• Will use their innovative and enthusiastic leadership qualities to support the strong teamwork at the school and ensure our committed staff continue to grow and develop.
• Has proven experience of successful leadership and knows what success looks like.
• Has vision, energy, honesty and loyalty and can inspire and motivate staff and children.
• Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across the school.
• Has the ability and ambition to continue to raise standards, enabling every child to reach their full potential.
