Legsby Primary School is seeking a Headteacher.

Introduction:
Due to the current Co-Headteachers moving on with their careers, the governing body are seeking to recruit an aspirational leader who will build on the existing strengths and success of the school. The post is to start on the 1st January 2026 or earlier if available.

Our strong ethos of creativity, individuality and tolerance creates an environment to nurture and develop the full potential of every child and we are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Headteacher who will embrace the challenge of working in a small rural school.

The governing body will appoint a Headteacher who:
• Is an excellent leader with high expectations of achievement and behaviour and who will seek to create an environment in which children flourish emotionally, socially and academically.
• Sees the whole child and has a child-first mindset when making decisions.
• Will use their innovative and enthusiastic leadership qualities to support the strong team at the school and empower our committed staff to continue to grow and develop.
• Has proven experience of successful leadership and knows what success looks like.
• Has vision, energy, honesty and loyalty and can inspire and motivate staff and children.
• Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across the school.
• Has the ability and ambition to continue to raise standards, enabling every child to reach their full potential.
• Is excited by the opportunities that Legsby Primary school offers.
• Will enhance and develop collaboration between staff, parents, governors and community.

Fluency Duty
