Contract type: Permanent
Term time only: Yes, plus 3 weeks (41 weeks in total).
Hours: Part-time 20 hours per week.
Salary grade: G5 pay scale 12-15 depending on experience
Salary details: £27,254 - £30,024 FTE salary will be pro-rata
To start: 5th January 2026

Purpose of the role
We are hoping to appoint a committed Learning Mentor for our children.
This position is to support the Pastoral System which is being developed in school. It is of great importance that the children and families in our school community are supported in order that there are as few barriers to learning as possible.
Key role responsibilities
- To represent the school in meetings relevant to children’s pastoral support
- To create and implement Action Plans for children in school as directed by the Pastoral Team.
- To be a key member of the Pastoral Team.
- To work in class to support learning when required
- To develop links with parents
- To monitor tracking sheets and keep records
The successful applicant
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Will have excellent Interpersonal skills
- Will liaise with staff from outside agencies and stakeholders
- Will deal with confidential and sensitive material
- Be accountable for their work and work directly under the supervision of the Safeguarding Officer/ Headteacher
