Job Introduction
William Lovell Church of England Academy are looking for a SEND and Wellbeing Administrator to contribute to and provide administrative support to enable the development of students’ social, emotional and mental health needs in order to enable effective teaching and learning alongside effective safeguarding
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
To use student information, including data, to identify vulnerable students in need of SEND and/or social, emotional and mental health intervention, attendance support or wellbeing support.
To provide administrative support for all elements of SEND administration.
To coordinate the administration and transition of incoming and outgoing students, including mid-year transfers.
To provide administrative support to enable mentoring/support sessions and group sessions/workshops to take place and then be accurately recorded, tracked and evaluated in terms of impact.
To take responsibility for the completion of the census and all associated reporting and administration.
To take responsibility for Free School Meals and all associated administration.
To create and run reports as required using student information software such as SIMS, CPOMs, and BromCom.
To coordinate absence phone calls and ensure appropriate follow up. To conduct home visits as appropriate.
Liaise with SEND and Wellbeing Team where there are any concerns of patterns relating to absence, following safeguarding procedure.
To support in the administration and coordination of personalised action plans for groups and individual pupils based on a comprehensive evaluation of data relating to their strengths, needs and strategies for overcoming barriers to learning.
To work and liaise with internal and external agencies as and when required to ensure that appropriate channels are available to students and parents and these are recorded accurately.
To support students and teachers in developing restorative approaches to positive learning behaviours through analysing and evaluating trends in behaviours, attendance, and safeguarding.
To provide administrative support to support the delivery of PSHE, RSE, SMSC and British Values.
To provide administrative support to school trips.
To provide administrative support to transition opportunities, including primary liaison, year 5/6 days and organising tours.
Evaluating students’ data and producing/organising all paperwork related to attendance, including liaison with the school EWO.
To ensure that safeguarding, SEND, behaviour and attendance records are maintained and that school systems and procedures are followed.
To support investigations as required and coordinate the administration and accurate record keeping.
To support in the coordination of parents’ evenings.
To be proactive in dealing with any issues relating to attendance or punctuality.
To support with first aid/medical provision across the academy.
To promote positive values, attitudes and good student behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encouraging students to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
To attend and provide administrative support for meetings (and associated reports) relating to safeguarding, behaviour, SEND (EHCPs, IEPs, etc), LAC (EPEPs, etc), and attendance.

Any such duties should not substantially change the general character of the post. Duties and responsibilities outside of the general scope of this grade of post will be with the consent of the postholder.
