School Administrator

Job Introduction

Brant Broughton Church of England and Methodist Primary School is looking to appoint a part time temporary Administrator. This role is varied due to the small size of the school. We are looking for someone to form a key part of our team. As the first point of contact with our school for many pupils, parents, staff and visitors, it is important that you share in and live out the key themes of our school’s vision: Celebrating everyone, Preparing for the future, Travelling together and Acting in hope within this key front of house role.


Our part time Administrator will need to be able to share in the day to day running of the school office, be a team player with initiative, have great interpersonal and communication skills.

The successful candidate will:
• Be a team player with initiative, great interpersonal skills and be committed to bringing the school and our vision to life.
• Have a cheerful, warm and welcoming personality with the ability to communicate with adults and children alike.
• Be able to share in the day-to-day running of the general office.
• Be reliable, efficient, flexible, organised and be able to prioritise to meet deadlines
• Be able to work part of a team and be willing to learn

Candidates should have:
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) or an equivalent qualification.
- Good ICT skills including use of Microsoft Office programmes including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Experience of using an MIS
- Understanding of Safeguarding duties and responsibilities
- Previous experience of working in a school is desirable but not essential as training and support will be provided.

This position is for 13 hours per week (two days), term time only plus two training days. The position is offered as a temporary contract for one year paid at G4.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
