Job Introduction

Meadowgate Academy is a Special Needs School for pupils aged 2 – 19 years.

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team of committed and talented staff at Meadowgate Academy.

We have a vacancy for the following: Full Time Class Teacher.

Experienced or ECTs welcome to apply

Start Date: September 2025.

The school is an exciting, lively and forward thinking establishment. We encompass new ideas and provide regular opportunities to work with notable visiting professionals and access further training in areas of special needs.

• An outstanding practitioner who is able to meet a range of learning needs in the classroom.
• A team member who can think creatively and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• A teacher who is able to demonstrate a flexible approach and recognises the importance of accessing learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
• A teacher who has experience of or an interest in working with students with a range of sensory needs, autism and associated behaviours.
• An open minded, reflective practitioner who wants to join a likeminded group of professionals.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
