Job Introduction
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing. You will help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued and able to succeed.
Key responsibilities
• Supporting pupils in the classroom and during learning activities.
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate.
• Helping to maintain a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assisting teachers with preparation of learning resources and activities.
• Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence and social development.
• Supporting the wider life of the school.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is caring, patient and approachable.
• Has a genuine passion for working with children.
• Can communicate effectively with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
• Is enthusiastic, reliable and able to work as part of a team.
• Can encourage and motivate children in their learning.
• Has a positive and flexible approach.
Previous experience working with children is desirable, but a willingness to learn and a positive attitude are equally important.
