Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Job Introduction

The Governors at Grasby All Saints are seeking a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience of providing 1:1 support. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a child’s learning journey while becoming part of a supportive and nurturing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality 1:1 support to a child with specific learning, social or emotional needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver personalised learning and interventions.
• Support the child’s access to the curriculum, encouraging independence and confidence.
• Assist with classroom activities, behaviour support and small-group tasks when required.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and planning meetings.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is compassionate, patient and committed to helping children thrive.
• Has experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable).
• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Can follow direction but also use initiative when required.
• Is reliable, organised and positive in their approach.
• Holds relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) – desirable but not essential.

Fluency Duty
