Job Introduction


Mrs Mary King's Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed, and caring Teaching Assistant Level 1 to join our dedicated team.
This is a temporary, one-year position supporting a mixed-age Key Stage 1 class. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and who can work effectively as part of a supportive school community.

The successful candidate will:
• Be a caring, patient, and nurturing individual with a genuine commitment to children's learning and wellbeing.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build
positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Have experience of delivering a recognised phonics programme
• Be confident in leading sessions with both small groups and covering the whole
• Be able to support high-quality teaching and learning, helping pupils to make
excellent progress.
• Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude to working as part of a team.
• Have excellent behaviour management and experience in supporting children with
SEND
• Enjoy helping the class teacher create an inviting high quality learning environment.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
