Job Introduction
Little Gonerby C of E Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs). Applicants should have or be working towards the Level 3 diploma in specialist support for teaching & learning in schools. If you are someone who believes that all pupils regardless of their personal circumstances can excel and you have the ability to engage, enthuse and inspire our young people, then this job is for you!
We are looking for someone who can provide the love, care and support our children need, as well as carrying out interventions to support with their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities is essential; however, training and ongoing support will be provided for the successful candidate.
Working hours – 30 hours per week - Monday to Friday – (term time only plus 5 INSET days)
The successful applicant will have:
• An understanding of EHCPs.
• The knowledge of how to support pupils with additional needs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Be able to work as part of team as well as using your initiative.
• Be willing to adapt and be flexible to changing circumstances.
