Teaching Assistant and Playworker - EYFS: 32.5 hours Monday to Friday term time plus INSET days/twilights (39weeks)

Grade range is G3 SCP 6-9 (£24,027 - £25,183) pro rata (actual salary £20,917.35 - £21,923.74)

This is a 2-year fixed term post until 31st August 2027.

The post will initially be working within Foundation Stage or Key Stage 1.

Start date: September 2025

We are seeking to recruit a teaching assistant who:

• Has experience and skills to work with pupils with children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage One
• Is able to support the professional work of the teacher within the classroom.
• Has a desire to enthuse and inspire children with a range of needs.
• Is effective in forming positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Has good communication and organisational skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to work proactively and with flexibility as part of a team.
• Has a ‘can do’ positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile

The successful candidate will work mainly in the classroom and will be required to support individual pupils and small groups. There will be opportunities for professional development in aspects of SEND and teaching and learning.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
