Job Introduction


Kesteven & Grantham Girls' School are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team.

To start January 2026 or possibly earlier
30 –37 hours per week. 38 weeks a year, (term time only)
Grade 3.6 to Grade 3.9 Pro Rata Salary at 30 hours £16,857 - £17,669
Grade 3.6 to Grade 3.9 Pro Rata Salary at 37 hours £20,790 - £21,790
(Full time position or Part-time job share with another suitable candidate)


We are seeking to appoint a Designated Teaching Assistant to work within the SEND Department which caters for pupils with SEND, complex and/or additional needs. The post-holder will be required to support the physical needs and personal care of a hardworking and conscientious individual student. The post holder will also enjoy being part of a progressive, supportive and positive team.


The successful candidate will have at least GCSE English & Maths at Grade C+ or 4+ and a willingness and ability to undertake any necessary training essential for the post. Recent Manual handling training is desirable; however, training will be provided.


The successful candidate will be expected to support the student in the classroom as well as around the school; to provide personal care and intervention; and communicate effectively with the SEND team and parents. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with previous experience of supporting pupils with SEND needs/disabilities within the classroom.
