Sutton on Sea Community Primary School have an opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our team at Sutton-on-Sea community Primary School in January 2026 to initially cover maternity leave.

Term time only: Yes plus one week (39 weeks)
Salary grade: G3 pay scale 6-9
Salary details: £24,796 - £25,989 FTE (£15,706 - £16,462)
Contract type: Initially maternity cover for 2 terms
Hours: Part-time – 31.25 hours per week. 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

The role involves but not limited to:
• Working with groups of individuals within all curricular areas under the direction of the teacher, to develop their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills
• Working 1:1 with children needing bespoke support
• Assisting with learning activities to develop children’s knowledge through support and encouragement
• Preparing activities, ensuring that appropriate materials and equipment are available, and assisting in clearing away afterwards
• Supporting the preparation and adaptation of teaching aids, games, as directed
• Meeting children’s pastoral needs for praise, comfort, encouragement, reassurance and care
• Taking responsibility for the welfare and hygiene of children
