Teaching Assistant

Job Introduction

Gonerby Hill Foot Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their Team.

We wish to appoint a motivated and are looking for someone:


 who is caring, enthusiastic and innovative.
 who has an ability to foster excellent working relationships with children and adults.
 who understands how to support children with specific needs.
 who can support a child’s learning, behaviour, social inclusion as well as their social and emotional development.
 who is a good team player and able to work well as part of a supportive staff.
 Who has experience of working in a school environment or other educational setting.
Nursery experience could be beneficial.


The successful candidate will:


 have good Literacy and Numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent) and NVQ 2 (or equivalent)
 have an ability to use their own initiative and be proactive.
 be passionate about improving outcomes and supporting children to overcome barriers to learning and fulfil their potential


30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year
Salary: Grade 3 SCP 6-9 Salary £24,796 FTE (Actual salary £19,370)

Fluency Duty
