Teaching assistant (1:1)

Job Introduction


Corringham Primary School is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team.


This role will initially be based in a Key Stage 1 class, supporting a named child alongside the class teacher in the daily routines of the classroom. 

The successful candidate will also provide enhanced classroom support for pupils with SEND.


We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and committed individual with a genuine passion for education and supporting the development of the whole child. You will bring a positive, flexible approach and work effectively as part of a team.


Experience of working with pupils with additional needs, including autism, is advantageous. A calm, patient, and nurturing manner is essential.

Fluency Duty

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
