Scamblesby CE Primary School is looking for an experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant who has experience and understanding of supporting children with specific needs. The successful candidate needs to be a flexible and committed team member to join our happy and dedicated school family to provide nurturing support to a child starting Y4 in September. An Education Healthcare Plan is in place, and the successful candidate will support the learning as well as the personal and emotional development of the child during their time at the school. The post is temporary whilst the child is in attendance at our school.
A relevant NVQ3 and/or recent primary school-based experience of 1:1 is essential, as well as an understanding of supporting children with specific needs. The post holder will be required to work with the child on a one-to-one basis or within a group situation, under the direction of the class teacher. Knowledge of autism and language and communication development is desirable.
