Job Introduction
We are a small, friendly primary school located in the heart of Withern, Lincolnshire, welcoming children aged 4 to 11. At St. Margaret’s, we pride ourselves on our strong sense of community, supportive environment, and commitment to helping every child thrive.
We are currently seeking an Administration Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have experience of providing administrative support, filing, word processing and reprographics. The post involves administering school data bases, Word and Excel spreadsheets – experience in these is essential.
The post holder will:
• Carry out reception and telephone duties.
• Open and distribute mail
• Assist in arranging school activities
• Assist in compiling reports, data and records
• Assist with electronic registers
• Liaise with parents/carers
• Handle cash in line with the School’s Finance Policy
• Input data on to computerised systems

Person Specification
Essential:
• Experience of working in an office/administration environment.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of working with Word, Excel and management information databases
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Desirable:
• Previous experience of working in a school.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. First Aid Training).
