Job Introduction
Heckington St Andrew’s CE Primary School is looking for an after-school club assistant to join our school to be responsible for the care of children at our Little Windmills after school club. Our after-school club runs from 3.20 to 6.00 p.m.

The main duties will include:
Promote development and learning (physical, emotional, educational and social). Fostering growth, self-esteem and independence.
Work to provide an appropriate and engaging activities which meets the needs and interests of children attending the club.
Act in accordance with school policies and procedures and relevant legislation, particularly in relation to child protection and behaviour management.
Provide high quality care and a comprehensive range of appropriate, stimulating and creative activities meeting group and individual needs.
Prepare snacks as required.
Clear away equipment after children have left.
Support those with special needs to engage.
Carry out reasonable personal care/hygiene duties and administer basic first aid.
Assist with the movement of children in and around the school.

Fluency Duty
In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
