Rauceby Primary School is a one-form entry, rural primary school located in a lovely village just outside Sleaford. We are seeking an exceptional and ambitious individual to join our senior leadership team as Assistant Headteacher from 1 September 2025. In this pivotal role, you will lead on curriculum, teaching, learning, and assessment, playing a crucial part in driving the school forward on the next stage of our journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a positive attitude and high expectations of pupils' attainment and behaviour
- Inspire and motivate children and staff through excellent interpersonal, organisational, and leadership skills
- Play a key role in driving pupil progress and improving standards across the whole school
- Lead a core curriculum subject across the school
- Stay up-to-date with current research on teaching, learning, and assessment
- Implement rigorous tracking and monitoring systems and challenge and support staff to ensure every child meets their potential
- Support and develop the Christian vision of the school
- Work closely with the whole school community to provide the very best for our children
- Continue to develop and embed an ambitious curriculum for all children
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to shape the strategic direction of the school
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven track record as an outstanding teacher
- Excellent understanding of what constitutes outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment
- Experience in a leadership role and have an aspiration for future headship
- Strong knowledge of current curriculum developments and best practice
