Job Introduction

West Grantham CofE Secondary Academy is seeking a reliable, hardworking and dedicated Cleaner to join our site team. This role is essential in helping us maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors.

Salary: Grade 1, Point 3 (Notts NJC Pay Scale) — £6,519 pro rata per year
Hours: 11.25 hours per week
Working Weeks: 40 weeks per year (term time, plus one week of holiday cleaning in
the summer)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 5:15pm or 6:00am to 8:15am

About the Role
As a Cleaner, you will:

Carry out cleaning duties in a designated area of the school in line with the Academy’s cleaning specifications.

Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are stored safely at all times.

Report any concerns with cleaning equipment or materials to your supervisor.

Work safely and follow Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.

This role may involve some lone working and physical tasks such as bending, lifting and the use of cleaning machinery (e.g., buffers, vacuums).
